At my home spot here in nor cal, where there used to be acres of kelp forest, the sea floor is carpeted in blue urchins. The kelp is all but gone. You guys are terrific.

What eats the kina in New Zealand? On West Coast of America, it's sea otter. To bring back otter, we had to eradicate a lot of urchins...since the urchins destroyed the kelp that otter use to hide from orca. Unfortunately, orca take a lot of otter still, but its starting to stabilize.
