Weird to hear the Master himself reading one of his stories. I always thought of him as some sort of demi-god to be honest. I owe this man a lot, he helped me improve my English in the most delightful way, through reading.

I always tell people what a funny writer Stephen King is, I can always tell the ones who only know him by the movies because they only think of him is the master of horror. Mr. King is a brilliant and a very clever writer. I'm not surprised at the laughing. Maybe the guy didn't realize how close he was to the microphone?

Easy everyone. It's more the camera AV guy's fault. He didn't mute the host's mic so obviously, we were able to hear everything he was saying or in this case, whenever he was laughing. You could hear other people laughing in the background too, so its not like he was crazy.

Interesting, refreshing to watch sk read a story. He has a pleasant voice only the guy laughing out.loud was a bit disturbing as well as the people walking back and forth. Man, I just love that story. Even if it doesn't send the best message. Being destined to repeat all your bad mistakes sounds like a kind if hell. Stephen King is my hero!

When Mr. King says the bit about the masterbation learner's permit and everyone laughs. I imagine the guy up front looking around and being enraged how Stephen is able to hear others laugh so he forcefully laughs louder than everyone else.

I haven’t checked but I hope someone has narrated The Stand for audio listening. Can you imagine how great the tunnel scene would be if done by the right person!!! Someone with a deep, slow voice.

Great short story by the master of deep chills. I was brought back to my childhood when listening to this, actually it creeped me out a little, (it was like he'd pulled the storyline from my mind, ) for my big sister broke off my little brother's pinky finger when she slammed the door on him. I remember looking at the dismembered digit, hanging by a single stringy flesh and feeling quite faint.
