The traditional O2 sensor socket is a useful tool. It’s compact for access, and the socket is open to enable fitment over the sensor and wiring. But it has one drawback.
If the sensor is seized and doesn’t want to turn, the open socket can flex and then slip on the sensor.
This can damage the hex on the sensor making even it more difficult to remove. Laser Tools has brought the O2 sensor socket into the 21st century. With the addition of a couple of extra features we have a much more versatile tool.
The half-inch drive is now 8-point which helps when access is difficult, but the open socket may still flex. So here’s the innovation: with the addition of a 30 millimetre hex to the O2 sensor socket, we can now also fit a spanner to the socket.
This offers two advantages: extra torque is applied to the sensor, but the big plus point is that the spanner stops the socket from opening.

This short-series Oxygen sensor socket is used for the removal and installation of Oxygen or Lambda sensors. It features a slot in the side, enabling it to be fitted over the wiring harness, and can be driven by both a 30mm spanner and 1/2"D socketry making it ideal for both difficult access situations or for when increased torque is required to undo tight or seized sensors.

Short series - length: 75mm.
To fit 22mm single Hex Lambda (oxygen) sensors.
The combination of open wrench and 1/2” drive ratchet allows for the application of increased torque.
Can be driven by 1/2" square socketry or 30mm spanner depending on access.
Manufactured from chrome molybdenum with black phosphate finish.

They should have demonstrated with the socket upside down as that is where the nut part of the sensor is then used the spanner to apply pressure closer to the nut.

Looks great when there is no car getting in the way of every possible angle...

Why not just use the wrench to remove the o2 sensor at that point 🤔

This will give you nightmares.
Because they failed to say it will surly stripped the Cat's Bong'Threads on rusted/seized O2!
