New program to help with mortgage payments

Some good news for homeowners. Those who struggled to meet their mortgage payments throughout the COVID-19 pandemic could get up to $50,000 in federal funding. The funding assistance is available through the Virginia Mortgage Relief Program. Angelo Vargas explains how it works.

I applied about a month ago and I was endangered if loosing my home because I haven’t been able to pay my mortgage since September 2022. I was just awarded enough to pay up until January. It was absolutely easy to apply. I was so surprised. If I qualify I still may be able to get a monthly relief mortgage payment applied. You just have to recertify every month which is not a difficult process. So if anyone struggling with their mortgage don’t hesitate to try. It wouldn’t hurt to try. Good luck
