Followed steps 1 to 3 to swap out an unusable HDD in a 2014 HP Envy laptop for a Crucial SSD and it worked perfectly first time. These instructions are much simpler and easier to follow than the written ones on the Crucial website. Laptop now boots as fast as my 2020 ASUS Zenbook with its NVME drive and programs load instantly, so the laptop is now usable again! Many thanks.

It would've been nice if you included some screws.
Not everyone is switching out an old drive.

Excellent content. Gave me the confidence to install myself. Saved me $150.00 and 3-5 days of my PC being in the shop. You guys rock!

I successfully cloned 1 TB HDD to 1 TB Crucial SSD in HP Envy M 360 laptop.
Clonned SSD had no Boot, Page File, Crash Dump. And I couldn't find SSD in This PC/Drivers and devices immediately after cloning. SSD had no label like D, E, F.. too.
But once installed in SATA port on motherboard and got boot up with SSD, I can see it in Drivers and Devices along with Boot, Page File with label C.
Thanks Crucial, Acronis and Crucial support.

Just installed a cloned 1TB SSD on my HP 17 laptop and also doubled the memory. Turned it on and it went straight to HP diagnostic tool which is now showing a message: "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete" I did everything very carefully, following this video guide. Is this repair going to work or has something gone completely wrong?

I added a MX500 4TB SSD into my HP Envy desktop, but when I turn on the PC the SSD does not show up. Is there something I need to do ? Like partitioning, etc. ?

I had to find Software that worked, the Acronis failed to Upload after
Restart time and again, so I looked up a LOT of YouTube and other
Technical Advice and Guides before realizing I simply needed to find the
right Free Cloning and Partitioning Managment Software to Initialise my
SSD and then Clone and then Partition the OS Data...
A Huge amount of work because the Data SSD was not properly set up to
work with Acronis by Crucial...
It has taken me near 20 hours...

SATA to SATA Transfer without any need to by Adapters.
