This is an Unboxing and Testing Video of my latest Acquisition, an Amstrad CPC 464 :)

I have never owned one of these machines, so this is going to be a new experience for me, and I hope you come along for the ride.

I always had a sound issue with my cpc 464
The sound/music in games would never play correctly unless I held down key 9 on the right number pad,
Very strange issue that to this day I never got to the bottom of,
Ever heard of that one?
The sound was literally like radio static untill I hold key 9 then it played properly untill I let go

Can you get amstrad replacement tape deck doors? Mine is smashed but apart from that it’s in perfect condition

Welcome to the world of CPC, The DDI3 is an amazing piece of kit I have one inside my cpc its on my channel, also I recommend the Novabug channel for anything cpc as a community (the bugarmy) we get together to watch a 40 year old load tapes and have a laugh every saturday at 10pm ish.

In germany, the CPC range was sold under the brand of Schneider and they all had grey keys. Maybe somebody replaced the keys with the ones from a german model on your Amstrad.
