The History of NFTs
NFTs have been around for a few years, but it wasn't until recently that they gained mainstream attention.
The first NFT was created in 2014, when a project called "Colored Coins" was developed on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Colored Coins allowed users to "color" a small amount of bitcoin and attach it to a digital asset, effectively creating an NFT.
However, it wasn't until the development of the Ethereum blockchain that NFTs really took off.
Ethereum's smart contract capabilities allowed for the creation of more complex NFTs, and in 2017, CryptoKitties, a game that allows users to buy, sell, and breed virtual cats, became the first NFT project to gain widespread attention.
Since then, NFTs have become increasingly popular in the art, music, and gaming industries.
