HK 450 Pro First Idle Up

Well just continuing my progress learning everything I can about flying RC Helis.... today was the first time I tried Idle Up on the 450.
I've been using it on the mCPx for a couple of weeks now, but only just tried it on the 450... what a difference. It is now so stable in flight, I can't imagine flying in normal mode anymore.... Love it!

I used the Finless vids years ago when I first got into the hobby, I had a T-Rex 450XL CDE then. I sold everything and gave up for a few years and have now started getting back into it. I think one of the main things that hold back beginner pilots is fear. You are right though being in idle up makes a massive difference to stability.

@SnottySlim cheers, yeah I'm still learning and still a little weary of it, so it's more that I'm just scared of letting it get away from me. This was my first Heli build and found it fairly easy to build... I took it slow and followed videos from nuttcaze HK 450GT Pro - Kit Assembly pt 1-5, and also some from finless bob on HeliFreak. I replaced the drive belt with an align one, I got a Mini-G gyro cos I couldn't get the HK401B to work, and didn't know any better - it's good but expensive.

@SnottySlim you'll love the gt pro then, it's very good quality for the price, and will fly fine with stock parts.. like I said I replaced the belt cos it stretched after a couple of hardish landings, other than that all good. I've just about finished rebuilding the HK450GT I crashed, and hopefully will get it in the air tomorrow or the next day.
Time to get rid of the fear hey!

Very nice smooth flying. How did you find the build and quality of the kit, I have two on order at the moment and can't wait for them to arrive.
