Guangzhou (and indeed many other Chinese state capitals like Beijing and Shanghai) are basically adding 50km of track on average every year, the goal is to have every resident within the metropolitan area being able to access a metro line within walking distance and remove the need for cars altogether. This is very impressive

The pace of the development of this system is insane. I remember at a kid when I was excited about them opening the third line. That was probably around 2007. 15 years later they are about to have like 25 lines!? That’s crazy

Лайк за то, что хватило терпения написать название всех этих станций)

So proud to see this and btw I was born in 1995, I used to take ship to across Zhu River before the first metro built. I can say the metro system has accomplished so much more than I do within these years.

Since Foshan and Guangzhou are almost one big metropolitan, it would be a great idea to draw them together!

Canton Tower station on Line 3 was originally called Chigang Pagoda as the Canton Tower hadn't been built at the time, the station was only renamed in 2013

Very impressive system! There're 2 Hualinsi Buddist Temple stations on Line 8. The one on the southern bank of the river should be Tongfuxi station.

Neat visualization! I’m from the neighboring city Shenzhen. Guangzhou metro always gives me an impression of narrow and packed comparing to that of Shenzhen. I used to think a great deal of Guangzhou metro lines were constructed back in the 90s or even 80s. It turns out that most of the lines have a shorter history than I thought. Good thing to know. Looking forward to see the Shenzhen version!

06:59 1.05.2022.
07:10 28.09.2022 открылась станция Caihongqiao. 28.12.2022 открылась станция Xicun.
07:14 28.09.2021.
07:30 31.03.2022 открылся участок Panyu Square - Chentougang.
Всех остальных показанных в этом видео перспектив будем ожидать.
