Zurna Taksim The Estergon Castle

Here is another amazing track from "Military Music of Ottoman Empire" and a classic, well loved Mehter standard. There is a long (slightly longer than a minute) Zurna solo followed by the song, which has both a powerful and methodical beat and melody. It almost reminds me of some 60s style surf music at times, but it definitely has the classic Mehter formula...not to mention that, like just about all tracks on this CD, the recording is masterful, if not just a pure work of genius.
