Nice choice for the Paul McCartney picture haha. I've never heard that saying, "Don't bore us get to the chorus". That's a good tip. Very informative video. I haven't wrote any songs for the longest time. I used to.. but now when I start to write a song, I get a mental block and can't finish it. I don't know if it's because I don't have the passion or the motivation to do so.

Nice video...I might add harmony to the melody and rhythm aspects you talked about. Maybe it's not as critical but more and more I'm realizing its importance and I think it belongs as part of "the big 3". Ex.. Paul McCartney's music and the chorus to "Love In An Elevator" by Aerosmith.

Great video! Was very interesting.
What I'm struggling with is when I have an interesting idea for the Intro or Chorus or whatever, I often get stuck on it and I don't know how to continue so that the other parts differ and don't sound similar. I kinda feel inflexible once I decided to go with an idea because then the basic rhythm and mood is set and I find it hard to make it different and interesting but not to break with the rhythm.. Do you know what I mean?
When I listen to the Radio and I hear a cool Intro and how the song goes on I think "oh this segue is so obvious" but when I try to continue an Intro of mine it never works..

Do you have some advice? Could you do a video on that?

Producing music is not the same as songwriting man. You make the mistake as so many other amatures make. Stop spreading bullshit please.They are 2 different things. Related...but 2 entirely different approaches.
