I read my best friend’s exorcism and gave it a 3 on Goodreads. I would have given it a 3.5 if Goodreads let you, but I could not go to a 4. I thought the end was kind of weak.

Have you read The Armageddon Rag by George R R Martin? You'll love it, it's metal music, vampirism, and a great story. You'd also like Wylding Hall by Elizabeth Hand, which also features a band in dire situations.

Pet Sematary is excellent, but it's also "The Monkey's Paw" by W W Jacobs, bloated. It's a good tap-dance, though.

I LOVED My Best Friend's Exorcism. I was so surprised at how well Hendrix was able to write a relatable (you know, aside from a demon) relationship like that. I also loved A Southern Book Club's Guide To Killing Vampires. I just read two by Ania Ahlborn too... I LOVE their pull no punches writing style. We have similar taste!!! I'll definitely have to check out Just Like Mother- the way you explained it sounds interesting.

Grady is the best horror author in a long time. I love the humour and how each of his books hits so perfectly in the time frame the book is set in. His pop culture references are gold!
