Mr Withers, for Q17, why is do you have to multiply it by the area scale factor instead of the volume scale factor?

Can you please give me some clarification on Q18 on this paper too (set 1 2H).

I understand that you half the total value (138.5/2) to get 69.25. But then how do you find the remaining fraction value for the X axis, of the 2nd rectangle? Where does the 50.25 area come from and the 5.3 value at the bottom axis?

Much help appreciated for anything. My teacher didn't even know the answer to this question himself and I am totally confused. :(

Wouldn’t question 8 be X is -3 and y is 3 because the X are already the same and the signes are different so you add so 3Y = 9 so Y =3
