The odds of three coincidences is astronomical. So Gladys, being suspicious of Sam anyway, jumps to conclusions. So did Darrin. Abner and Sam didn't buy into it.

I think in the end, i think Sam wanted to bop Darrin. 🙂

A couple of episodes later, a similar episode will be made called BABY'S FIRST PARAGRAPH. Darrin is told by Gladys that Tabitha can talk, eith the help of her grandmother, Endora. 🙂

Fans who are critical of Sam not "allowed" to be herself, just has to watch this episode, "My Baby The Tycoon", "I Confess", "Samantha's Secret Is Discovered", and others. In the latter episode, Sam's own mother-in-law blew her cover.

This added an extra element to the series, the element of possible exploitation of Sam and the threat to her and the family..
