Beautiful playing. Wonderful tone. Thick, chunky warm sound.
These guitars have real quality.

Anybody looking for an LP Junior type guitar will find these very hard--if not impossible--to beat.  British owned and British built---got to bang the drum for them.  They are about the only ones left.

I had a GS2 back in the 80's, very light, beautiful wood, played like a dream, lovy tone, great action, stayed in tune all week long. Compared very favourably to my American Telecaster and Les Paul Custom - which cost three times as much.

I have the same GS heritage deluxe in cognac sunburst, twin humbuckers with coil tapping, beautiful build quality, all for under a grand, blows a £2k les paul into the weeds...

Nice to hear you giving a great guitar the standard of playing it deserves. Nice .

Man that is some beautiful creamy tone. Great blues technique!

My preference goes to the GS1000 Special Edition: tone as well as looks: nice piece of gear ! And nice playing… ;-)

Have owned 3 of the Partington GS guitars for a few years.. Love the tap sound on the front pickup.. They got it bang on.. These look great.. Nice video

John Smith made me two guitars to my spec when I worked at Machinehead Music in the 90s. A GS1 with a flame top in black (which actually turned out a lovely deep blue!) And a Graf with a reverse strat headstock maple neck in black! One of my biggest regrets was selling them on when I got married! Still hold out hope with an eBay search that one day they will pop up for sale.

I love the vid, but you have named the GS1 as a GS2 Deluxe Heritage. The new range of Gordon Smith guitars are amazing, of course moving on from John Smith and co., I am the proud owner of four of their beautiful guitars, one dating back to 1987. Keep up the good work guys...

Cool! When I lived in Amsterdam about 30 years ago a local player used a GS1. Always blew me away the amount of tone he pulled from it. I’d even suggest it defined his style.

The cherry GS1 at the start (mis-captioned?) sounds exquisite. Well, they all do, but that

My kid was listening to Ghostbusters and the breakdown sounded so found it.

The older one sounds much better. Looks nicer even. But. Both guitars are beautiful and best quality, made with logic and perfection without any without any compromise. Just the old one is better :)

The nuts are like 44mm wide or something. I wish they offered narrower options.

Loved the heritage, but the neck pick up was VERY muddy!
