CGIAR Science Week Strategic Dialogue: Climate Action

CGIAR is charting a visionary path for accelerating global climate action through its new 2030 portfolio. The emerging Climate Action Program draws on a compelling legacy of science and innovation developed over many years through the Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), various CGIAR research initiatives (Climate Resilience and Low-Emission Food Systems, NEXUS Gains, Livestock and Climate), the CGIAR Climate Impact Platform, and a portfolio of research projects on climate change mitigation and adaptation implemented by CGIAR Centers and its partners.

This workshop explores how the new Program will help transform food, land, and water systems to respond to a fast-changing climate. Participants in will gain insights into how the new Program is designed to support CGIAR’s partners and program beneficiaries to strengthen the potential of food systems to adapt to climate change, build the resilience of smallholder farmers in an inclusive way while fostering low emissions development.
