I just purchased the knife with the stonewash finnish and the gfn handle. Surprisingly comfortable in the hand, blade is sharp and looks quite nice i never owned a knife with this type of finnish. Thanks for the vid and comparison i didnt know there was another version of this knife. Enjoyed the vid!

I got 1776RD couple weeks ago. Loving it! Great blade! Aluminum grip a little slick. Using Tacgrip tape with very nice results.

My aluminum one came with an American flag stamped on it. I though that was weird, but awesome. 'Murica!

I have one and I love mine, but the screws on the pocket clip keep coming loose.

I personally think that the aluminum handle has less grip and i like the stonewash better

Are there any other kershaw knives that open like the link? I love the way it flies open. Cryo 2 isn't quite as good opening like the link. These are the only 2 I own so far. Looking to get more!!!

I don't get why kershaw dosent make their pivots a circle, the hexagon looks stupid and often spins around and fucks up the Handel if you tighten it because it spins.... and strips the aluminum.

I know the point of this knife is an affordable knife made in the USA, which is great.  But it just demonstrates the economies of scale as to why most low end knives come from overseas now.  I mean, AUS-8 and 8Cr13MoV aren't the greatest thing ever, but they blow the pants off of freakin' 420HC.  Wish they'd sprung for at least 440C or like CTS BD-1 or some other decent domestic steel.

if you're going to review nice please get the terminology correct it's not called ribbon it's called jimping

Yes all very nice real knife expert would have caught this on a review. The ONLY drawback on this knife is one (1). There is no jimping where your thumb would go when cutting or applying pressure. As a result it's slippery as butter. Benchmade puts jimping in the exact same spot on all their knives and on my Kershaw Blur, and all other Kershaws, it had jimping there for added grip safety. Otherwise; a great knife and value.

Doesn't this look very "Ken Onionish"?
