I live in Japan and it definitely doesn't seem as doom as gloom as this video makes it out to be. The exchange rate is definitely in the favor of the foreigner here but other that that, it seem pretty normal here.

I’m a Japanese living in Japan. We have been in this economy recession over 30years since the Japanese construction bubble busted. So this is nothing new to Japanese. Inflation is a bit of problem right now, but people survive, are just fine.

I own a house in Japan with 0.5% interest rate for my mortgage. I don’t want Japan to be anything like America. I left America for a reason. Young people can actually buy homes here at reasonable rates. I’ll take weaker yen over exorbitant interest and living expenses any day.

Thanks, great review. The Yen has lost valued, however, due to the low interest rate maintained for years increasing the interest will have a short term impact (as seen by recent events). Long term the growth will come back a more stable economy. However, one factor that I believe you missed is that Japan population is decreasing vs growing, therefore, control migration of high and medium value immigrants could benefit the economy and long term growth.

I'm slowly accumulating shares in etfs that long their market in Japan. With a weaker yen, I'm looking to buy excellent quality Japanese high value goods such as a Grand Seiko watch, a watch which beats Rolex in design and quality. Another, the Corolla GR is made in Japan. This high performance gem boasts 300 hp.

I'm into my ninth year of my decade of sacrifice, and am leaning more into investments than consumer goods, unless there's a bargain to be had. I'm Buddhish, Jewish Buddhist, I patiently wait for a sale.

Juspreet, you forgot one thing. If there are more selling if treasuries that means more competition for the FED. They'll need to raise interest rates to attract investors.

A couple of interest rate cuts in the US and the yen gets back a lot of its losses. No need to panic. Just play a longer timeframe with the yen.
