Ben, you’re thinking like a political strategist. The reason so many loved Trump is that he didn’t act like a politician. The only reason he lost 2020 was covid mail in balloting, and extremely questionable oversight of that debacle.

Banning trump from twitter made him more popular. Not to mention you can pretty much imagine what the guy is going to say, you dont actually need to hear him or read his tweets. He said it like he thought it, and everyone knows who he is ... unlike Biden who has trouble remembering who Biden is, who is wife or sister is, who the president or vice president is, where he is at, or what he is doing.

There are time when i disagree with Ben about Trump. This is one of those times.
Trump was constantly censored and lied about. The media constantly took his words out of context.
We all liked the fact that Trump fought back with his "mean" tweets. He was a damn good president in a very long time.
Biden did not win because Trump was constantly tweeting. Biden won because he cheated!

Come on Ben, most Trump supporters liked that Trump wasn't disciplined on Twitter! That was part of his appeal. His unscripted honesty and the way he trolled the left made him loveable to many.

I had a business many years ago and had become friends with the local Antique Shop owner. She was a gossip. She talked about everyone whether she like them or not. There are quite a bit of things from Trump's first term that concern me. The opponents of Trump rewrote the rules with the branding of him being a "nazi, womanizer etc. Ben has helped me express my fear of his return to power. I want us to move in a more positive direction with less personal attacks and the focus on our country. It is time to get another leader who will be less interested in dividing the country and will not be as isolating as Biden. I hope that we can resuscitate our civility with regard to differing opinions because I think when the President is not willing to be civil it sends us all the wrong standard.

You can’t ban people just because you don’t agree with them. Yet things like pro ana content is for the most part not a problem for social media sites except for maybe TikTok. So social media sites should shut their mouths if they allow crappy people do crappy things on their sites and essentially go🤷‍♀️

I don't think he'll pick up Twitter again. Just being unbanned gets the message across; refusing to use it after the fact just rubs it in the left's face that he has the right to be there and chooses not to.

Trump having his own social media is technically an echo chamber. Dude can do whatever he wishes, but at least on Twitter, he'd be able to reach everyone with differing political opinions. I'd like to see mean tweets again tbh.
