The USAID-funded Uganda Voucher Plus Activity provided nearly 200,000 safe deliveries to rural women who would otherwise have had limited access to facility-based services. Watch this video to see how they did it!

The USAID Mission in Uganda has a long history of supporting maternal health programs in the country. The Activity expanded access to high quality maternal and newborn services in the private sector for poor women. This video explains how the project achieved great results through partnerships among private sector health providers, the public sector, religious networks, and civil society. Abt Associates led this activity, with subcontracts to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Communication for Development Foundation Uganda, and BDO Uganda. The Activity ran from 2016 to 2020.
