Learn How To Jump Doubles | Pump Track To Trail

The ability to jump doubles, and to keep your speed on landing, is a great skill to have when riding on the trails. Blake is back on the pump track to help you get your skills dialled, before heading out to some big doubles on the trails.

You need to think differently about different jumps, for example if the landing is short and steep you will need to land with your front wheel first, matching the angle of the landing. Once you get these basics dialled, you'll quickly progress up to bigger and bigger jumps.

so what you wanna do is use that speed to get over the jump, not to get in to the sky

Legendary. I’m combing YouTube for technique videos at the moment this is really useful. Progress feels so slow at the moment but I guess more time on the bike will help.

Love these instructional videos. Also so much of this is bringing me back to my BMX days. Flow track is basically a bmx track and all these techniques are fundamental to bmx racing.

Hey GMBN I have a vid idea 😏. I’ve got a pretty old bike and I was thinking maybe you could help me out and make a video about the tech if old bikes (or lack of it) and how to counteract this. For example my reign (2005) has no lockout on the shock and a fast rebound (the rebound adjuster doesn’t make a difference). So how could I counteract my rebound while jumping? And how could I counteract my lack of lockout while climbing? Thanks a lot for your many helpful videos (they have saved me many a crash)!
