Chase Bliss Audio + Meris CXM 1978 - stereo reverb

The Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb may have made back in the late 70's, but it's still highly regarded today, and fantastically expensive to pick up on the used market.
So, back when Chase Bliss launched their Automatone range with the Preamp Mk.2 pedal, Meris reached out to them with an idea to collaborate on bringing that beloved, vintage reverb unit back into existence.
The resulting love-child was this; the CXM 1978.

Besides recreating those classic, studio-quality algorithms and taking advantage of the Automatone layout to incorporate motorised faders into the design, the CXM 1978 also lets you save presets, control the effect via expression and CV, navigate remotely with the use of MIDI, and much, much more!

In spite of the enormous size, spendy price tag, and the reputation both companies have for insanely complex designs...this pedal is surprisingly simple to use, and of course, immensely fun.

Great demo as always ! I wondered if money was no object would you still choose this over the ventris reverb ? I remember you mentioning it being one of your faves in an old video ? If not what is the best reverb on the market in your opinion ?

I do want it, but not $900US want it. I suppose that's a loaner so you can't open it up to show how the robot sliders work...
