I mainly use tiles and inverted 2x2 tiles for Lego Minecraft builds since 5 plates is a normal block in lego

All things considered, being able to remove anti studs on sets where they are really obvious is really helpful and makes the sets more clean looking

Tiles are also useful for models with parts that move past one another. LEGO Optimus Prime, for instance, has tiles and inverted tiles to keep studs and antistuds from rubbing against each other during conversion.

I love it when I get these, their new pieces are just insane compared to what we had in the 00’s

i used to like the studded look, but the clean builds with lots of tiles are just so satisfying to look at

Quite interesting, I do enjoy the Lego look

You look like a rare deep ocean fish who has been bloated by rapid ascension through the water, rendered unrecognizable from the extreme depressurization

Cobi uses them a lot too. And perhaps since quite longer than lego? Makes for much more authentic vehicles.

Oh no, people are using lego pieces as intended!

It makes sense. when you build lego to play with it, you want the studs so you could clip and secure the things youre not currently playing with. But when you build a model you want it to look as sleek and close to reality as possible. And last time i remember car roof having studs was my uncles 3 times rolled over Moskvich.

I’ve really only used an inverted tile once (which was a few days ago) in a Moc. I wanted to make a dinosaur transformer, but since one side of the Dino becomes the front of the robot, I wanted to make sure the other side of the Dino didn’t look rushed, and to make the Dino mode symmetrical (and less obvious it transforms) I used an inverted tile.

Once.

The inverted tiles from COBI are also good since they are really thin.

the only good reason for tiles imo are for modulars, minecraft, or things like the lucky block set. otherwise, when its overused it just removes lego's charm

Studs are a core part of how Lego bricks work. They will never be gone.

I pick up used Lego sets/pieces whenever I find them and I always find it so cool when you show the same model as one of the ones I found. I have the top half of that pizza van but and am slowly finding parts I can add to complete the set. Keep up the great videos

Without studs and anti studs you won't be able to attach Lego bricks and pieces together. So I doubt they'll be "gone" any time soon.
