Next time please either switch off the mobile ringing on silent mode or put it on Airplane mode. The interviewer voice was very less and when he is asking the question, his voice is too loo, not able to listen the question.

hashmap put method by default return null when u r inserting a new value .But when u r passing a new value to the existing key, which is basically overiding the existing value, hashpmap then returns the old value .

@28:50 he is asking about Serialisation, deserialization. If we do it, we can still break singleton property. We have to override readResolve method inorder to prevent it. Read it. Also, overrride clone method and throw clonenotsupportedexception inside it.

Multiple time we are checking the null value that is the reason people are called double checking lock and achieving declire the volitile variable bcz it will create separate local cache and separate memory but this is also problem with volatile bcz performance down separate memory creations
