i think the DLC will be post end of game content. Meaning the DLC will expand upon whatever ending youve chosen.

imagine instead of Miquella that's Melinia (not on the horse) and the only way to access it is to get the frenzied flame ending.

kind of like new game +, but you go after your other character while being guided by Melania.

This wheat covered area is definitely what the expansion is going to be centered on. The woman is riding her horse past the mountain pass under the erdtree. The expansion is called shadow of the erdtree. The woman is far away from the tree.

There are a few things that I want to see in the new expansion. One of those many things, is the return of armor reinforcement. I'm tired of having to swap armor sets every time I need more protection, and not being able to wear the outfit I like because it is inferior to the meta sets. It would be so much better if I could upgrade my current wear to +25, and make it stronger, rather than putting on something else just for the sake of better stats. Maybe even throw in the ability to upgrade talismans, so we don't have 2 or 3 of the same one, and there is barely a difference in overall effect, like 20 or so more points of health, and nearly half of the enemies in endgame or NG+ do several hundred to a thousand points of damage PER HIT. When I say this, I'm mainly referring to the ones that have +1, +2 and +3 in the item name. The only reason I'm asking for something like this is because I find it would be interesting to see how powerful certain talismans can become if given permission to slap them with some smithing stones and scale their level. It would also bring to light the potential of these talismans, and either redefine the meta, or at the very least, make other people not trash them for something better, making them actual options instead of just merely suggestions.

I would also like them to revisit several weapons, but mainly one of those weapons being Hand of Malenia. The personal adjustment that I would make would start by removing the ability for the weapon to be 2 handed, but instead increasing the damage of the weapon to match as if you WERE 2 handing it. A few combo changes would be nice as well, seeing as the moveset that Malenia uses is vastly more colorful than the basic ones that we use. It would make the weapon more interesting in my opinion, making it less lack-luster, and worthy of being called a "boss" weapon. I'd also add Scarlet Rot to the weapon, alongside its already present blood loss, giving the katana a fighting chance to outlast if not outmatch the rivers of blood in terms of damage dealing potency. I would also change Scarlet Aeonia to give it the same height and tracking that Malenia has when she uses it, that way it can actually be used in PVE and PVP, and isn't just a waste of 3 memory slots because you either don't get to cast the incantation, or nobody gets hit by it. Oh and for the love of God, make Malenia's great rune better. I'm talking add the oppurtunity to regain ALL of the health you lose, with no time limit, but instead, increasing the amount of damage taken instead of reducing the effectiveness of health flasks. This would add immense survivabilty, possibly even making some players completely immortal with the right builds. Pairing this with her Katana, and it's mentioned changes, you could easily outlive every enemy you come across in every region, and stand toe to toe against some of the toughest bosses in the game without having to throw caution to the wind and look for an oppurtunity to heal every after getting hit. If Malenia is the hardest boss in the game, she should have rewards that compliment her difficulty and reward the player for a job well done.

Finally, and this is just purely opinion based, but I would also like to see some weapons swing speed be determined not by the class of weapon itself, but by the overall weight of the weapon, and how high your strength is. For instance, if you swing a weapon that requires 19 strength to wield, say, the Zweihander, with 38 strength, there is a noticeable, tangible difference in attack speed. From Software could possibly even add another attack to the usual combos, or change up the animation of some combos as your stats climbed, which I feel would show your mastery of the weapon, and how much stronger your character has become on their journey. With this being the case, if your strength is passing 47, or even capping out at 99, this could perhaps provoke a change in the overall moveset of the weapon as a whole, adding more hits for combos, light or heavy, jointed with faster attack speed, and potentially a follow-up hit to certain ashes of war. All of this, with of course, the damage scaling as per usual.

They've had a year to work on this DLC, and no doubt, it's going to be good. But mainly, I just hope that they took that year to not only develop the DLC, and determine what new content it could bring to the table, but also discuss how they could change the game, and improve it as a whole, instead of just adding more more, and harder bosses. Or by giving us more broken weapons, sorceries, incantations and a few flashy ashes of war that look good on paper, but overall could be better. I love Elden Ring, I truly do, but if its one thing that going back and playing the Soulsborne series has taught me, its that Elden Ring is good, but very much could be better. I want From Software to prove my statement of them sacrificing quality content for the sake of quantity content, false.

Say whatever you want about this, I'm just taking a huge gamble, and putting my opinion out here for the world to see. For some of these changes, they seem either incredibly broken, too much, or just downright game changing, so I'm expecting a majority of people to shit on this post anyway. What I'm expecting?

I'd like to see added spells to existing magic and incantation schools. I'd also like to see maybe two to four new magic/incantation schools and balance changes to some of the old spells. Balance to PvP would also be icing on the cake. Howl of Shabriri could use a huge range increase as well as ALL of the mist spells, and some of the Area of effects In the game like Zamor ice storm. More ice lightning spells would be cool, pun intended. Lightning should have a chance to stun as well. Fire should have a small burn damage effect that ticks after initial damage. Thops barrier, and parry skills need an increased window to parry for PvP. Lower the damage on a crit from parry in PvP. Lower damage in PvP in general except on the hardest, slowest hitting weapons in the game.

A new area, couple weapons and bosses. Some decent ashes of war as well. Fire needs better stuff for sure.

Make all of the stealth talismans better and same with the Sellian spell "unseen form". Unseen form should be taken out of stealth only when being hit by spells or attacks, or after casting a spell, or attacking. Law of regression should also be a direct counter to this, obviously.

The added feature to player customization to keep and change any alterations you've earned. (Dragon eyes, bloody eyes, frenzied flame eyes and burns.) Maybe add some new ones? I'd also like to keep them after a playthrough. A couple of new hairstyles.

Make Death blight actually usable. Even in PVE. Please fix Eclipse shotel; It's such a cool weapon that needs to be blight-worthy.

A fifth talisman slot. New talismans as well. Talisman changes. The affinity resistance talismans for example should actually be a direct counter to dragon breath affinities because if you didn't know, that's how you balance that.

Couple new quests. With rewards.

Different horse skins. Imagine a night cavalry mount, or Radahn's horse, or maybe just a regular horse. Maybe even some unexpected mount from the lands between.

The royal remains armor set, and Icon shield should give back health based on health percentage. The health given back at this time is vastly too low. It's not even noticable.

Make Bows, crossbows, and torches better in general.

Make Sleep, Scarlett rot, and poison better in PvP. Scorpion's stinger dagger needs to be way better at applying rot on its ash of war. A bit more range on the move wouldn't hurt either.

Thorn sorcery needs a buff for sure, as does bestial incantations. Some new spells in these schools as well.

Make ALL the legendary armaments actually feel legendary.

Basically, I just want them to fix their base game, and add new stuff. It's really frustrating seeing all these awesome spells, and weapons in the game and only like 30% of them ever see use. Dual spears, magic, poise, and blood builds should not be the only viable options in PvP. Update the meta so everything is good in its own right.

Seeing as how I started playing Elden Ring less than a month see no possibility of beating the game in the near As if the game isn't massive enough. Hell I haven't even made it into the capital yet. Just beat the asshole outside the gates to it.

W.T.H was that. That told me nothing or did it tell me what to expect from out of dlc. The last DLC was a let down for me seeing how it was just a pvp mode and I could learn nothing about the elden Ring world or the back round to that world. so I didn't care about a pvp mode at the time and still don't really. I feel like Dark Souls 2 or 3 had a DLC at this point meaning at takeing along time just to get one DLC announced and we still have no idea if it's going to be some PVP waste of time nonsense or something to lock forward to. Most of Games these last couple of years have been garbage fill with nonsense that should not be in a game to the games just being post on a hype train only for most to buy those games and be majorly disappointed it was cyberpunk back in the day which devs said they fixed after the game was out for some time meaning they were fine with ripping people off to they started to fill the last in there wallet when so many people wanted refunds. I never when back to the game after the so call fix. But these days it Starfield witch for me was ok but really boring story and is got the game from a friend that got it and was extremely disappointed in it witch be for release it told him to wait but he has high hope's. But why do people seriously going to learn that these games company's will take tell lie's to sell their games and have no problems keeping your money for garbage games and love to push out cheap garbage games that lack any Talent or motivation that are just copy and paste like the call of duty games these days. The best 3 games off the top of my head that came out this year 1 elden ring. 2 armor core. 3 baldur's gate 3.
