Watch where the ropes cross as they slide - It creates a loop to slide behind instead of around the board. It changes the loop direction. Imagine the knot isn’t there then imagine the board isn’t there.

An easy puzzle made to look like a complex one. In fact there was not even a need to go that complicated route as shown here. All what was needed to be done was to hold the side of the knot 🪢, pull the entire rope all the way up until the enrire thing is all out.

Note that the part of the rope that is running down to the bottom of the frame goes over the board and then under the the rope. The action is to get that to instead go both over the board and over the rope, or vice versa. Looping the rope under the board is what allows for that..
