The Buck 110 and Buck 124 are two of the most iconic knives produced by Buck Knives, a company with a long history of craftsmanship. Here are some interesting facts about these knives:

Buck 110 Folding Hunter
Introduction and Popularity:
The Buck 110 Folding Hunter was introduced in 1963 and quickly became one of the most popular folding knives ever made. Its combination of a sturdy, reliable blade and a lock-back mechanism made it a game-changer in the knife industry.
Design and Functionality:
The 110 was designed to be a portable version of a fixed-blade hunting knife, allowing hunters and outdoorsmen to carry a strong knife that folded away safely.
The lock-back mechanism provided a high level of safety, as it locks the blade in place when open, preventing it from accidentally closing during use.
Material and Construction:
The original Buck 110 featured a 3.75-inch clip point blade made of 440C stainless steel, brass bolsters, and ebony wood handle scales. Over the years, Buck has used different steel types and handle materials, but the classic design has remained largely unchanged.
Cultural Impact:
The Buck 110 became an icon not just in the hunting world, but also in popular culture. It was often carried by military personnel during the Vietnam War and has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows.
Its design has been so influential that many other knife manufacturers have produced their own versions of the 110.
Legacy:
Over 15 million Buck 110 knives have been sold since its introduction, making it one of the best-selling knives of all time.
Buck 124 Frontiersman
Introduction:
The Buck 124 Frontiersman was introduced in the 1960s, around the same time as the 110, and was designed as a heavy-duty fixed-blade knife. It was originally intended for the same audience as the 110, including hunters and outdoorsmen.
Design and Features:
The 124 features a 6.25-inch clip point blade, originally made from 440C stainless steel, like the 110. It has a full tang construction, making it incredibly strong and durable, and the handle is typically made from black Micarta or phenolic resin, providing a good grip even in harsh conditions.
The large blade and robust design make the 124 suitable for a variety of tasks, from hunting to bushcraft to self-defense.
Name Origin:
The name "Frontiersman" reflects the knife's intended use in rugged outdoor environments, evoking the spirit of the American frontier.
Reintroduction:
While the Buck 124 was discontinued at one point, it was later reintroduced due to popular demand. Its reintroduction is a testament to its enduring appeal among knife enthusiasts.
Collector's Item:
Today, the Buck 124 is considered a classic and is highly sought after by collectors. Its quality construction and timeless design have made it a staple in many knife collections.
Conclusion
Both the Buck 110 and Buck 124 are testament to Buck Knives' commitment to quality and innovation. They have stood the test of time and continue to be popular choices among knife users and collectors alike. Their designs are classic, yet they remain as functional and reliable today as they were when first introduced.

I have a few old Bucks, I carried a Buck or Schrade every day in my pocket growing up. Until Grandpa gave me a Case. I still stop and look every time I'm at the hardware store. Don't know why I shared all that lol ✌🏼
