That is so sad, RIP Michael "Hank" Norell. If it wasn't for this show I would possibly never have become a firefighter. Such an amazing show. I rewatch it every year or two, and for a TV show it is so accurate to real life compared to nearly every other TV show. Thank you Michael.

So sad to hear about the passing of Michael Norell That man was an absolutely incredible and gifted actor and really brought much to the show. I don't think you could have picked a better actor to portray the part. He was very direct when giving orders and dealing with the men on the show. But also had a wonderful sense of humor.

I remember listening to an interview with Randolph Mantooth sometime ago and he was talking about how sometimes Michael would throwing a random witticisms about subject. I forget which episode is 10 but there is one point when he is at the kitchen table talking to the men and he calls one of them a "twit"

But just the way that he delivered the line with witticism made everybody laugh so much.

Thank you for sharing this and sincere condolences to family and friends. And absolutely wonderful and gifted actor who will be missed very much.

Thank you very much Sir for your contribution to humanity. Your memories will be kept alive in the TV show.

I met "Captain" in Wallace Idaho during a "Wallace Days" celebration. Very nice guy to speak with. He rode the fire engine in the parade. And he kept saying to the crowd... It was a nice truck but not a Squad 51!!! 😊

I'm very sorry to hear about Michael Norrell's passing. That is a huge loss for Emergency fans. He was classy! The entire cast of Emergency are sensational, and it's such a timeless show, and I still enjoy watching the reruns of it. It takes me back to a simpler time. God Bless and RIP Captain!

family and emergency cast. i have alot of fave memories of him, he was
the captain everyone wanted.
