Anyone wondering this is a special game mode where you get a small force and have a last stand, can't recall the exact name. But you get unique spells and abilities, you can't get this in the normal campaign.

That spell is so much better than what is shown. You can cast it on your lord while he’s flying and basically fly the length of the enemy army picking them up. It’s only a stationary spell if you let your lord remain stationary.
