Dunlop Manufacturing presents another member of the Cry Baby product line,
the MC404 CAE Wah developed in conjunction with Bob Bradshaw of Custom
Audio Electronics. For over 30 years, Mr. Bradshaw has been designing
elaborate guitar rigs for some of the biggest names in the business. Bob
himself relates what special modifications he would do to wah pedals to work
for these guitar heroes and how in the MC404 these mods are available to
everybody.
Dunlop Senior Engineer Bob Cedro further explains the features of the
pedal in detail and gives some sound samples.

The MC404 features :
-2 switchable Fasel inductors for different tonalities
-Up to 18db boost circuit ( from the CAE MC401 pedal)
-Internal "Q" controls
-Status LED lights
-Long life CTS potentiometer
-True Hardwire Bypass
-Custom paint finish and CAE graphics

this is the best wah I've tried, five pedals later, this one is ridiculous.
outstanding. DB boost, warm low end setting and screaming high end.
but really just great action and tone.

For me, this is the perfect wah. Tons of tweakability, great sound, great look. I've had mine for several months now and I haven't had anything but pleasure from it. Dual inductors are a nice touch. This wah outshines everything else out there. The RMC Picture Wah, Wilson 12 step Wah, Fulltone Deluxe Clyde, Dunlop Crybaby Artist Signatures, beats the crap outta all of em. It's like a '60's Crybaby who's renting PCB space out to a boutique wah. A++

I don't know how anyone can say "true-bypass is a boutique feature" w/ a straight face, I really don't.
Oh boy, instead of a $3 switch w/ two wires, we get a $4 switch w/ three wires... you really went all out -_-

I was ready to list mine for sale due to hating the tone. I’m so glad that I learned about its adjustability. I’m sure that this will turn into my favorite Wah setup very soon!

My roommate had this one, and he really liked it. I want this mixed with the 535Q. I like the outside adjust-ability of the 535Q.

I used it for less than a month and the the potentiometer started to crackle, damnit.

great sounding and looking wah, got one myself a couple months ago, best of the bunch i think...just enough tweekabilty but not over the top so i freak out with option anxiety. I lost the manual didn't know about the internal controls till i saw this, might mess around em.

Hmmm... I opened mine up to see if I could play with the Q controls a bit (I had no idea about that until I saw this video). Unfortunately there's a blob of glue over both of them so I can't change the Q control. Oh well... still an awesome pedal!
