I first heard Marmalade Lovin Things in 2025. This wonderful song made me feel like I was in the late 60s, I was born in 1968. Greetings from Russia

Love this. Feel good Power Pop with a Northern Soul flavour. Marmalade were a terrific singles band, and their songs get better than with age.

This marvellous song from the summer of 1968 always reminds me of the happy job I had and how music like this was almost coming of a record conveyor on a weekly basis.
The production with brass and string sections, and vocal harmony shows the 60s and 70s music will never be repeated, I often worked with younger colleagues in the noughties who despite being born in the 80s knew more about 60s and 70s music than those who lived though them. 1968 was a lovely year for pop music, and growing up in the UK.

Reminds me of how I felt for my late wife Moira, together nearly 50 years loved her so much, now just miss her, still sing it to her though.

Remember, listening to this great song, on vinyl, an long time ago, Marmalade had so many great songs .
The standard of music, in the sixties, and seventies, will never be better .

I haven't heard this song for about 50 years. I always thought it's a great song and well performed by Marmalade. Oh the memories!

First record I bought. They were a fine group, and a lot more versatile than power pop or the Beatles cover.
Sadly, both singer Dean Ford and Pat Fairley (sitting on the wall) died in the last few years.

Things seemed so much more simple and happy back then.

The Pathfinders set the template for this wonderful 1968 breakthrough hit by The Marmalade [UK #6]. It was covered by The Grass Roots who had a minor US hit with it the following year.

Great song
Wiki...
"Lovin' Things" is a 1968 song recorded by Scottish group The Marmalade, later covered by The Grass Roots. The song was written by Artie Schroeck and Jet Loring. It was the band's first successful single release, reaching number six on the UK singles chart. Their version was not, however, released in North America.

Very much in the mould of the love affair with the fantastic Keith Mansfield Orchestra sound. The Orchestra that brought us Funky Fanfare & the grandstand theme.
And this video looks like Moef Ga Ga show a Dutch pop show from that era ?
