Next year I shall make sure my Husband & I participate in the Pride Walk.
Despite its modern facade, Singapore has recently enacted a new law banning foreign sponsorship of its LGBT "Pink Dot" celebration. The Far Right Religious lobby had coerced the Govt. in passing another oppressive law banning foreigners from participating in the 3 hour PICNIC in a park.
I was born in Singapore but now hold a Dutch passport. If I were to enter the park to join the "Pink Dot" picnic, I will be fined S$10, 000 plus 6 months IMPRISONMENT !
Singapore inherited Section 377a of the British Colonial Penal Code CRIMINALIZING Gay sex with 2 years jail. India has managed to de-criminalize Gay sex. Taiwan has legalized Gay marriage.
