When I heard about her for the first time I immediately cringed. I mean, come on, this is such journalistic tripe. No real story so let's all whip out our collective violins and play along with this naive rich kid from Sweden (where I live, btw). I haven't fully made up my mind whether she's absolutely sincere about her ideas or playing a very clever long game for her own career because I can't really get anything from her facial expressions to sway me more one way or the other. In any case, I don't really care on what side you're on. I'm on both. I think it's naive to say we have to stop everything we're currently doing in terms of fossil fuel consumption - it's simply unrealistic, and on the other hand, I think there could and should be boundaries set to protect some legitimately important resources like the Amazon etc. That said, I'm not a little girl who will casually go to the UN and cry about it so no one will take my opinion seriously. Why would you, when you have such a perfect journalistic vehicle in a naive little girl to attach to the front of your band-wagon.
