This is an excellent compromise. Players are still incentivized to buy the pass because the cosmetics won’t come back for at least a year and a half. And new players also won’t be locked out of skins they like for the rest of their lives. It’ll also help curb the account selling black market because exclusivity is the driving force in that still going on

It's ok for me. I want some skins from past battle pass, and I know and feel sorry for the ones who want skins from past battle pass (even the one that I have).

The Paradigm and this are definitely related, epic wouldn’t “accidentally” release a exclusive skin and in the next day announce the end on battle pass exclusivity. They had this planned for sure.

Destiny 2 just implemented this as well, Halo Infinite has it too. Fortnite is wise implementing this, hopefully I can buy that Wolverine skin I missed from Chapter 2, Season 4 released on Aug 27, 2020. This will also help the community to avoid buying/selling accounts.

Exclusivity is annoying as hell, I’m so glad this is a thing. I missed out on doomguy and I can finally have him and carnage
Edit: I know now it’s older skins aren’t coming back, unless if they change it but I doubt that. The doomguy dream is dead 😔 (unless if they give Classic or dark ages)

The wording is "future" Battle Passes, yet you showed pictures of Darth Vader and Lara Croft, both from past Battle Passes. Even if it's only future Battle Passes for now, there is a chance past ones will also follow suit.

I'm guessing they finally cracked after everyone kept talking about Battle Pass exclusivity. But there's a few *VERY IMPORTANT* things to note from the actual Blog Post:

a) This only applies to *_FUTURE_* (I repeat, *FUTURE)* Battle Passes. All past BPs from Chapter 1 to now are still exclusive and *NOT* returning. This only applies to BPs from C5 S4 onwards.
b) All BP items are *NOT **_GUARANTEED_* to return in the item shop after 18+ months. Epic will apparently notify us which ones remain exclusive though.
c) Each time a BP item comes to the item shop, it may have *DIFFERENT* numbers of Alternative Styles. Which I guess means that one time a Skin can come to the shop with just 2 of their styles while another time they could come with 4 or 5. styles (assuming they had that many to begin with)

Very happy that new players can get battle-pass skins regardless of whether or not they played that season, however, it is a bit of a shame that old battle passes are not coming back. I started playing chapter 4 season 2, so missed out on some amazing skins like OG Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Darth Vader and OG Deadpool and Wolverine etc.

only future battle passes no old ones so Laura Croft is still going to be rare as well as Darth Vader unless they bring out an item shop version sorry for the players that can't get them ever

Personally i think they should just do slightly different ones outside the battle pass.
A different belt here, a different seam there, a different shirt color. Thinga like that

Tbh I don’t care about collaboration skins cause, I have been saying this when Rick got added. Why would you put them in the battle pass people hate when crossovers are teir 100. Like why do that when people can buy them. And not get ugly battle pass skins
