With funding provided by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Reclaiming Futures at Portland State University is implementing a five site pilot of a new SBIRT model with juvenile justice involved youth (SBIRT JJ). The five sites are located in Vermont, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington. This webinar will provide an overview and description of the SBIRT setting, intervention, implementation process, and cross-site evaluation and its differentiation between adult models. Special SBIRT implementation considerations within juvenile justice settings will be discussed.

Bridget Murphy, M.Ed. is a Program and Policy Analyst at Portland State University, Reclaiming Futures. She coordinates the Conrad Hilton funded five site SBIRT initiative with youth involved in juvenile justice. Bridget has more than two decades of experience in the behavioral health field and has worked as a provider, project director/principal investigator, evaluator, consultant, and federal contractor.

Evan Elkin, M.A. is Executive Director of Reclaiming Futures and the model developer for SBIRT-JJ. Evan is an experienced clinician and researcher and a nationally respected innovator and policy advisor to government and non-profits on treatment and juvenile justice and child welfare reform.
