Ha, I heard this the other day on the radio. I remember Kim appearing on American Bandstand to sing this.

Didn't think this ever made it to #1. Definitely Kim's biggest hit and I think the only one I know.
Davis was a famous actress known for playing characters who were often unsympathetic or morally grey. She was also known for her distinctive eyes. When Carnes says the main figure of her song has “Bette Davis Eyes, ” she’s signalling to the audience that the character cannot be trusted, no matter how beautiful she is.

Kim Carnes had one other big hit in 1980 with the song "More Love" but "Bette Davis Eyes" did alot better than her hit the previous year. If you listen to "More Love" you should recognize the song after first hearing it.👍
