Speaking of priming, I undershot my volume a bit on the beer I'm getting ready to bottle. It left me with an OG of 1.060 and I was shooting for 1.054. I fermented down to 1.008 so my abv is just a fraction under 7%. I used a dilution calculator and if I add half a gallon of water I'll be at an OG of 1.054 and my abv will be a fraction over 6% and more where I wanted it. What im getting at is have you topped up when priming? Boil any bugs out and cool as usual, just with a little more water then normal. I dont see any harm if I don't splash too much when mixing it together, do you? And off topic a bit, when I boiled this wort, I usually lose about a gallon an hour but the day I boiled outside it was a high of 22 degrees and I cooled it outside as well. It seemed to steam like a sauna the whole boil. Does water steam boil off more in bitter cold or could I just see it more. It also steamed even at 95 degrees temperature of the wort so I think my half gallon was lost to the temperature being so cold. I couldn't really find anything online about this but it happened
