The Southeast CASC Global Change Fellows hosted a two-part series exploring the freshwater ecosystems of the Southeast United States, as part of the Spring 2022 Global Change Seminar Series.
After an exclusive screening of the film Hidden Rivers which unveils the beautiful, biodiverse world that exists below the surface of rivers and streams in the Southern Appalachians on the previous evening, Fellows held a conversation on “Climate and Freshwater Futures” with researchers and managers working to maintain these ecosystems in the face of a changing climate on Friday, April 8, 2022.
Panelists included:
- Dr. Andrew Dolloff from the Center for Forest Watershed Research of the USFS Southern Research Station
- Mr. Todd Ewing from the Southeast Aquatic Resource Partnership
- Dr. Caleb Hickman from the Fish and Wildlife program of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians
