The carbon cub redbull used had its fuel tank move to the tail rather than the wings because it allowed the pilot to get on the brakes harder without tipping forward and having a prop strike. It also had serious weight reduction done to it to hold stable flight at lower speeds

I notice the RedBull pilot touchdown on the edge of the helipad that gave him enough distance to stop. On your accomplished approach you did the same. It’s the little detail that that you ignored that could’ve avoided multiple failure.

I think the exact plane used in the stunt was modified to be much lighter than the regularly lightweight carbon cub. At least that is what I got from the cleetus video. That may have been part of why this was so difficult.
