They added the smart mapping to the i3+ a few days ago. Being able to select a specific room to clean is super nice.

Just got one for Christmas and I’m very impressed. The one thing that isn’t mentioned is how loud cleaning tank is when it sucks out the dust from the Roomba. Literally sounds like a jet engine taking off in your home

I just recently got the i3 as a “luxury gift” to myself & can honestly say I’m happy with this purchase!! If you’re like me, besides doing the dishes, vacuuming is up there as my least favorite chore. I’m so relieved it got a good review after watching your video ☺️ i don’t really need the bells and whistles of a top camera. Also, don’t have to worry about cleaning the inside of the machine as much. Also, with the app, it’s times to automatically vacuums while im still in bed, waking up!!

I miss the specific number ratings in each of your tests. It made your channel stand out. Some are noted here but not as many.

I stumbled across this page last year and ever since then I've been a huge fan of robot vacuums! Awesome content my guy

Seems like one of the best options for most people. As long as you don't require app control / no go zones, then, it's great. I have an older Neato D80. Still works great. Not going to replace it. It has the lidar or laser navigation; but, no app control, nothing. Just push a button. That's how I prefer to use these. I like to do a quick check of my home when I press the button. I do keep it robot safe, but, you never know if you left something out. If my Neato ever dies, this i3 may be the best option. I bet in a year or two it will be low cost and still amazing.

I bought this exact unit after I watched your video. I was impressed. However when you do your tests, you should test with some kitty litter scattered on the floor. For some reason, mine doesn't quite get all of it up on our tile floor. That may be something you want to test with. Love your videos. Cheers.

Just bought 2 (i3+) vacuums for my birthday gifts to myself, and love them! Mine came with little towers to create your own keep out zones. Haven’t tried those yet, but the vacuum itself did a very good job. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, kids that consistently visit, so our floors gave it a lot to work with. I would give a solid A-. Impressed!

Mind that keep out zones are a must Most of the time. It’s not just about not wanting to clean a particular area, it’s because often robots get stuck at the same spots until you go there and get them out, and this features allows avoiding that problem.

I just bought Roomba i3+ and it is my first robot vacuum cleaner. I'm fascinated! I love it! I think i3+ does great even without a camera, just an intelligent little helper. I'm testing it for the second day and for now everything is perfect! ❤️ Thank you for the video 🙏

I got mine recently on Black Friday and I couldn’t be happier. It has a bit of trouble right next to the front door because of the rug (it’s a rugable rug with the Velcro bottom and washable top) so it struggles to reach the area between the rug and doorframe, but other than that, it’s been pretty flawless. I was surprised to see the attention it took to the dining room, taking so much effort to get through and around all of the chair legs. Very little space was missed. All and all, very impressed with it this far.

I just bought one and before I did I just wanted to watch some reviews. I had no clue people went this in depth into vacuum cleaners but this guy does it really well actually. Good video

Purchased the Costco only i4. Seems to be basically the same as the i3 but has a larger battery. Can’t wait to put it to work when it arrives next week!

Hey Vaccum wars I just wanted to say thanks for doing a review on this I really appreciate it :)

Very informative! Thanks! The sales lady at Costco didn’t know squat. I got the i4+, which, to my understanding, is exactly the same as the i3 model. I asked her about cleaning specific rooms and she assured me that “you can program it”. Oh well. Very happy with my purchase nonetheless. This little guy saves me about 90% of vacuuming effort

I’ve had the i3 now for a few weeks and I’m very close to returning it. I have yet to have 1 vacuum session complete on its own. I was gone for the day and left it to clean. Within 1 minute it had gotten “stuck on a cliff”, aka my floor vent. I came home the next day to find it dead with 43 seconds of cleaning under its belt. People online say to cover the sensors with white paper or to take the thing apart and modify the sensors. Now I’m taping paper to a $400+ vacuum. Let’s see how this goes

"14 inch... no robot vacuum can handle hair that long" thank you so much for finally doing this! Please keep it up. It seems like there must be a significant portion of households with somebody with long hair. And even if all robot vacuums handle it badly, I'd still like to know which does best.

This finally confirms that self emptying vacuums so far are pointless for me, since I have to detangle them every time I empty the bin anyway. At least my roomba e6 is far less work than my 655 was, due to the new roller design. And of course they're both far better than manually vacuuming.

Another excellent review. You certainly set the benchmark for quality reviews in this segment. Keep up the good work!

iRobot has been rolling out a Smart Mapping update to the i3 this week, you can now clean by room, but no "keep out zones". Still, this is a game changer for the budget minded consumer.

Thank you for this video. I just bought a Roomba i3+. It’s my very first Roomba. I’m excited to see how it works. I ❤️ watching your videos, Nathan. They are very informative as well as entertaining. 😍
