Inside The Most Feared HOOD in Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦- ALEX (is it a gangster paradise?)

Alex Hood A gangster paradise? Do most gangsters harbour here? How true is this?
We here to find out. My walk starts from Alex mall then we go into different locations called South Africa, Tsutsumani and River Park.We will walk through hectic areas and non hectic then back to hectic maybe a little scary if u not used to the place. Along the way I nearly trespassed. Alex is one of the oldest hoods in Johannesburg, During apartheid regime so much took place here. It has a rich history. Many South African known celebrities are from this hood or originated from here.
So much happens here,the good and the bad I believe. On the bad side I would like to explore it for myself for I believe there so much exaggerated about this hood.
I passed many gangs hanging around, drinking and having fun and this is what happened. #southafrica #dangeroushoods #johannesburg

I don't see anything so fearsome about that place I see no trash on the street no drug addicts I see nice clothes on the ppl and nice homes I love in the USA Johannesburg looks way better than here 👍🏿

The neighborhood looks like the average in most parts of the world, certainly in the U.S. The area looks good. It looks like the people, despite their economic challenges, take pride in their neighborhood.

I live in London UK, Alex is the first place I go to whenever I visit SA to buy my music. And I used to visit Joe's Butchery but I made sure by 5pm I am out.

Nothing fearful about Alex. I was there a couple of hours ago to drop off a lady. People must refrain from misleading people about SA. Of course we have serious challenges such as crime like any other country.

I'm a product of Alex born and raised, it's a nice township but you're not really in Alexandra from that area, you should've started from Pan Africa where Alexandra starts from 1st street going down to the last street 22nd Avenue and I'm from 21st Avenue, back in the 90's my 21st and 22nd Avenue where the most feared places

Well, you are a strong confident person, nobody will mess with you. That said everyone was minding their own business anyway! It seems most people can afford satellite TV, or have the good sense to form clubs and share the expense. A real pleasure to see such large areas in Alex transforming into ordinary suburbs like any other in the city. People are people, those that are prepared to put in the effort will always improve their lives, those that expect to have lif handed to them on a plate won't. These are great videos and that's really great advice! Be confident and recognise your fellow human beings even if you're in a strange neighbourhood and your fellow human beings will recognise you too. Very few people are unstable to the extent that they go out of their way to look for trouble. Most often, even a 'tsotsi' just wants to be decently treated like a fellow human being

You know what, in every country there are such kind of places and challenges here and there but it is not like he has put to steer fear in people' s lives. Most places in S .Africa are look nice, me I love South Africa and can be my second home apart from Zambia.

That was the new area in Alex he didn't go into the wood. from PEN (amakuleni ) first 1 to 22 streets than you get the river than east bank west bank than the new part we just seen on this video called tsutsumani meaning runners Couse it was house's that was build for Athletic

Thanks for the video and the amazing view, but my advice to you is that making this kind of video next time, especially in this kind of area, you can tell that it is not just like the other places you have must been to freely, and could tell at some point fear grab you, but you had not option but to keep walking and moving, and it is good to tell your viewer the reality, it is just about proving people wrong whether the place is feared or fearless, there are so many factor that are at stake here, time of the day, place to be specific within the neighborhood, are you a resident or not, are all factored in, so even if you are not attack or it might look innocent at certain part of the day, doesn't rule out the fact that it can be feared.
