In this 50-hour review of the 2024 Beta 300RR Race Edition, I dive deep into what makes this bike a potential "KTM Killer." I’ll share my experience over 50 hours of riding, including the highs, lows, and everything in between. I cover the maintenance required over this time, the key modifications I’ve made, and how this bike stacks up against other 300cc dirt bikes on the market—including the 2024 KTM 300XCW. By the end of the video, you'll know whether I’d buy this bike again and if it's really a contender in the 300cc world. Is the Beta 300RR Race Edition worth the hype? Let’s find out!

I purchased a new '23 Beta Xtrainer for my wife and one of my daughters to share plus have it be a buddy/back-up bike for friends without bikes to ride. At the same time I picked up a '23 XCW for myself. Riding all types of terrain around OR. WA. and ID., these two bikes being built for slightly different purposes, they're both very fun to ride. I have to say that the Xtrainer is built to be so nimble and light it's really fun and an easy to manage 300 in the woods for less experienced/casual riders. My '23 KTM (side by side with the Beta) is built so much better and I had to pay for that for sure. I was really wanting to wait for the '24's (TBI) but had an event to attend and needed to pull the trigger. With all that said, after all of the protection parts I bought and the time it took me to install them all, when the '24 XCW HARDENDURO became available to order, I sold my '23 and purchased the '24 HARDENDURO. This bike is AMAZING! The changes from '23 to '24 are absolutely rider inspiring. The new stock front fork is magical and sends confidence straight to your brain. The TBI?!?!? You just think throttle and it's there. I still have to work as much as possible (to pay for the bikes etc.😉) and don't like to spend time on the bikes accept maintenance. I'd rather spend my time riding. So out of the box the HARDENDURO was a no brainer for me and they hold their value better than any other similar bike. I've had zero issues with both KTM's but did have an issue with the Beta literally before it was even fully broken in. Parts took forever to get and the bike was in the shop for a couple months, waiting. Beta did cover it all since it was defective so good on them for that. I just feel lucky to be able to ride and ride such cool little machines. Thanks for the intuitive perspective here in this video.

I just picked up a 2024 300 race edition. Haven’t even rode it yet! Beta’s demo days sold me on it. I love the kyb suspension on it. Thanks for sharing your experience with it.

Great video as usual. Love my Betas. Always had Huskys and KTMs which are great, but there is definitely something different in a good way about the Betas. Power delivery on them is so incredibly useable.

Wow…I hit the jackpot here…! I’ve honestly been pretty discouraged with my ‘24 RE as I’ve been chasing the fouled plug gremlin around. It’s back in the shop now under warranty still for a broken throttle cable. (Me pinning it too much trying to make it home with the Beta bog but still running fouled plug thing going on…lol.) The bike runs so absolutely incredible when it’s running proper that I need to just embrace frequent plug swaps. JD jet kit installed running Idaho mountains with big elevation changes and it is what is. Lol…I chose Beta to be different from the hordes of Orange up here. I’ve often kicked myself in dealing with these issues, but for what I get in return, you’ve made me understand it’s worth it. It’s the greatest dirtbike I’ve ever thrown my leg over. Cheers from Idaho. I’ve sub’d and am gonna dig into your past content for some more good info. You mentioned a coil issue.?? We need a solution. lol…🍻🏁

Thanks for sharing your experiences and review. As good as the KYB suspension is, riding a race editon back to back against my RR edition with Dal Soggio upgrade forks was like night and day. Both bikes are 23 model 300's. The Dal Soggio inserts just seem to do everything better I found. Yet to try the twin spark head, I upgraded mine to S3 low compression head for now. It's great Beta released a twin spark conversion kit for people like me that are constantly experimenting with bike setups.

Good review but one thing I did not hear you mention and it's a reason I chose the Beta over ktm is warranty and customer service. Curious what ratio premix are you running?

With my 24, I put the needle clip in the second position which is what the jetting specs call for in my location and temp. The bike came with it in the 3rd notch tho. I’ve fouled 2 plugs in 30 hours, both times were me experimenting with jetting and a BR7 plug.

I love the video, you mentioned the 24 KTM/Husky - would love more comparison in terms of riding experience/engine character between the Beta and TBI. Thanks for the videos!

I have a 23 250 race edition. Aside from protection shes stock and its amazing on single track. The suspension does beat me up on super rocky sections but everything else performs perfect. I also haven't done anything but change it 2 clicks. Where in pa are you? Im in not far from pa in NY would love to hit some of those trails!

kept waiting for that bike to stall but it never did, you were riding it so low in the rpm at times

But you don’t have to go into your tank to fix a KTM. That sucks ass. That’s a tow out. Plus you can also try riding a new zf fork too. I’m riding a 200 zf fork and I got a tricked out beta suspension on my 23 300 race edition too. Really once the suspension is set up is it’s almost the same.. almost. Both are really good.

You bought the wrong version for your intended riding. Should have been on the RR from the get go, it’s the closest version to the XCW.

I switched to Italian bikes and I will never go back

How can you test an enduro bike, on a completely flat terrain? You test it equal to ZERO.
