Also mark's mistake is not telling cecil about the coalition.

Cecil didn't know there are only 50 viltrumites, he needed information he was thinking on a big scale invasion...

A dumber thing than the nerve gun was revealing his cards too early when confronting Mark. He could have de-escalated the situation, but instead lead him to a room of Reanimen, used his sound bomb against mark, then monsters against the guardians when they obviously weren’t going to go along of “sit the F down” when Cecil was attacking Mark in front of him.

Tho then again, Immortal and Kate were also in that episode, so hard to tell who was dumber. The direct leader or the leader within the shadows

While keeping conquest seems like a mistake to us the viewer, we have to remember that Cecil still didn’t know about the lack of numbers in the viltrum empire. Secondly, he didn’t know that conquest is one of the strongest vilturmites. Remember, he dident know that viltrumites get stronger as they age. For all he knew, he thought that defeating conquest would bring hundreds, thousands or even millions of viltrumites to earth. So, in his head, he had to at least try to keep the viltrumite to learn how to defeat them.

That Mauler gun is going to keep popping up in my head for the rest of the series. Like that Justice League episode where Superman makes a deal with Lex Luthor to stop their evil counterparts from another dimension. Luthor builds a gun that deactivates their powers. A gun which he never uses again.

Even if they helped Luthor build it, he has a photographic memory. He rebuilt the Amazo robot from glancing at the blueprint once, he could rebuild the gun, and use it against the Justice League, he just never does, because it was a one time plot device.

Let's start off with the nerve gun, the way Oliver destroyed it could mean that it was still salvageable, but the GDA was attacked by a Mark variant that resisted the sound frequency and destroyed their tech labs so they couldn't make more

As for Conquest, all Cecil knows is that there is an empire, he doesn't know how many viltrumites there are, or if there are others way stronger than Conquest. Cecil is balling on low tech right now, so the best he thought since Conquest was on the brink of death, he wouldn't be able to escape.

The best Cecil could've done was line the base with dozens of reanimen.

I think its not Cecil's mistake not using the Mauler's Nurve gun. The Mauler's always were way more inteligent than Cecil himself, thats proved when they brought back The Immortal in season.

So probabilly Cecil didn't reconstruct the gun because he can't, he doesn't have the tecnology for that... i think

Plus if he had the tecnology wouldn't matter because he didn't have the time to rebiuld it untill the end of the Invincible War

The reason why Cecil kept Conquest alive is because he didn't know that Viltrumites could generate force, as no matter how strong a regular human is, if they were encased like Conquest, they couldnt move their limbs to make it damage the casing, Yet Viltrumites generally use their force to fly and stuff.

It hard to cut viltrumites skin I remember one of the scientist said that so probably would take longer making Conquest into a reanimen

why didnt cecil just take out conquests brain and put it in a talking jar? have robot make it based on the one he once lived in

I feel like the Conquest one is sorta reasonable since he wanted to find viltrumite counterplay and ask about the empire, but it was still way too risky.

Given what's going on in the Damien Darkblood season that ended season 2, it seems possible that, in the show, Cecil's precautions _might_ wind up having been adequate for the threat he knew about, but Darkblood's Dark Master might throw a wrench into the works.

to be fair, it takes a lot more force to tear something apart than to lift it. conquest would have to push with the the equivalent of way more than 400 measly tons to get put of there

transforming conquest in a reanimant is a abd idea as keeping him alive cuz conquest would regen back and get out of controll

With just conquest pure will power, I’m pretty sure cecil ain’t touching anything 😂

Well, to be fair, the nerve gun was smashed to pieces by Oliver and the molar were also smashed to pieces by Oliver

Why didn't Cecil not try and do to the Maulers what he did to Darkwing

I don’t think he could have made Conquest into a Reaniman. Sinclair stated they needed to create entirely new tools just to convert the other versions of Mark into Reanimen, and they wouldn’t have the same durability as Conquest did

Cecil: Keeping Conquest
The fandom: DUMBEST THING YOUVE EVER DONE
also Cecil: Casually not giving any hints as for his future plans
Like cmon y’all, who knows, maybe Cecil has backup more than just showing us keeping Conquest alive.
