Grew up poor and we got the green 99 cent batteries. When they were about to run out of juice we would boil them to get a little extra. Good times.

*All the replies, it was just a quick 5 second tops boil. And that bought a few extra hours of an off brand walkman radio time. Chillax and let the music play, I'm also talking about the mid 90's

As an early 2000's kid, I loved these batteries. I never saw them after a couple of years of elementary. It became gone or very rare. When a classmate brought one in, we all started trying to trade for it or just simply huddled around the person to look in awe at it.

My husband came home with a Battery Daddy from Costco not too long ago. It’s the most dad thing he’s ever done. Not only does it keep the batteries organized, but it also came with a battery tester. I use that sucker all the time 😂
