The 15th scale SEACATT wave energy converter undergoing tests at the Ifremer wave tank facility in Brest, France. Oct 2013.
If you look closely ( under the water at the aft section) you can see that the wave energy being captured by the model is simultaneously being converted into gravitational potential energy by the raising of a weight, you can see this weight arrive at the underside of the aft section.
