Οι Athens Lindy Hop στο Αεροδρόμιο της Αθήνας

Ύστερα από πολύχρονη εμπειρία σε χορευτικές ομάδες swing στο Λονδίνο, το 2008 οι Athens Lindy Hop ίδρυσαν την πρώτη lindy hop ομάδα χορού στην Αθήνα. Οι Athens Lindy Hop διαδίδουν το πάθος τους για το lindy hop και άλλους χορούς swing στην Ελλάδα με μαθήματα, σεμινάρια, πάρτι, performances και άλλα events. Τα μαθήματά τους περιλαμβάνουν συναρπαστικούς χορούς από παλαιότερες δεκαετίες που είναι σήμερα περισσότερο επίκαιροι και δημοφιλείς από ποτέ όπως το authentic jazz, το balboa, το shag, το charleston της δεκαετίας του ‘20, το blues και το boogie woogie. Έχουν συμμετάσχει σε πολλά φεστιβάλ, παραστάσεις, βίντεο κλιπ, διαφημιστικά και τηλεοπτικές εκπομπές στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό όπως το Djangofest, το Swing thing Festival, το Lembessi Street Art Festival, οι θεατρικές παραστάσεις «Άννα Φρανκ», «This is Swing!», «Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Harlem Swing)», οι ζωντανές μουσικές εμφανίσεις των Puppini Sisters, των Jive Aces, του Δώρου Δημοσθένους, του Γιώργη Χριστοδούλου, των Diminuita-The Swing Trio και άλλα.

Athens Lindy Hop “land” at the Athens International Airport and invited us to joyfully… dance on air! The enthusiastic dance team that specializes in the Swing dances from the 20’s to the 40’s came to introduce us to the magic of Swing.

After years of experience in swing dance teams in London, in 2008 Athens Lindy Hop started the first Lindy hop dance team in Athens, Greece. As Athens Lindy Hop, they spread their passion for Lindy hop and other Swing dances in Greece with classes, workshops, parties, performances and other events. Their classes include fascinating dances from past decades that are now more fashionable and popular than ever such as Authentic Jazz, Balboa, Shag, 20’s Charleston, Blues and Boogie Woogie. They have participated in numerous festivals, performances, musicals, video clips, commercials and TV shows in Greece and abroad such as Djangofest, Swing thing Festival, Lembessi Street Art Festival, the theatre performances “Anna Frank”, “This is Swing!”, “Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Harlem Swing)” the live music performances by the Puppini Sisters, the Jive Aces, Doros Dimosthenous, Yiorgis Christodoulou, Diminuita-The Swing Trio and many more.
