Flip Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

Hello world, In this video, I've shown you how to create this Flip text effect in Adobe Illustrator. I tried to make the text coming out of a drawing from paper.
This is not just limited to text. You can use this in almost any shapes. But try to keep it pleasing.
I forgot to mention in the video that you will have to change the drop shadow direction according to text slope or rotation

PROBLEM SOLUTION. AI 2021. If you "Make" can't be selected on the Blend menu, try creating outlines out of your letters, right-click and create outline. If at the end the stroke isn't following the letters curvature, make sure when you are adding the 3D fx that you apply it to the group, not to the fill or stroke, so on the Appearance panel at the top, you will see Blend and underneath Group, select that to apply the 3D rotation effect so that it can apply it to both strokes and fill together.

Thanks for the tutorial. I am still having problems with the drop shadow I did put it blew the 3d rotate but it did not work.

After i apply blend i would arrange the layers from appearance panel. 3d layer should be on the top of drop shadow layer, after i did that every letters has been cut off except the top letter

Loved the idea of this but when I go to blend, it blends from the original form not the fx rotated version. Anyone know why?

As u put drop shadow its not coming when 3d rotate when we apply it's separate from text why it is? How to solve

I don't understand. For some reason there is something I'm doing wrong with the text and the stroke of the first letter doesn't rotate accordingly like you showed in the video. There is an issue with my 3D rotation and when the "blend" is completed, its shows a white background behind the letter. I moved the "Drop Shadow" below "3D Rotate" and nothing same thing but now the letters are behind the rotated one.

After I add blending effect it appear 3D Shadow on the design which ruins the folding design.

Object > Blend > Make option is in grey. I can't choose the option even though both the texts are selected.
