Another personal one for me. From 3rd grade to 7th grade John Singleton was one of my best friends. We went to Woodworth Elem that you show in one of the first scenes. I could show you where he signed my 7th grade year book. Dude was the coolest. I found out later everybody knew John. When the movie first was announced I called the studio and left a message and within an hour he called me back.

Look at that lineup! Boyz in the Hood, T2, Point Break. The 80s - 90s were the best film period ever. A few sprinkled in during the 2000s.
