Burning Crusade Classic - Are You Prepared?

If true, this wouldn't be the first time a survey question served as a sneak peek of things to come, as the same scenario happened with the level squish that's coming in Shadowlands.

I think WotLK should be the last "classic" expansion release.

That should keep up satisfied for a while.

Through my experience with official and private servers WoW, I'd say that after a while the population of Classic servers will decrease whether they release TBC or not. So, in my opinion, it'd be nice if players were given the chance to progress through TBC. That will also keep subscribers that would eventually leave otherwise so it makes sense to me from a business perspective as well.

I think it's important for everyone thinking about this to remember that the classic playerbase is going to drop sharply no matter how they release TBC. Which is why I think people transferring to classic servers isn't that crazy; that will prevent there being 15 copied servers that are dead while the remaining classic players hang out on the 3 that remain populated

I'll admit, Classic has rekindled my love for WoW. I had given up on it after Cat. The game became a convoluted mess at that point and the things that made it special fell to the wayside with all the "New and improved" systems.
I played Cat for a while and the idea was actually exciting of having a whole new Azeroth with new/old areas and quests. The entire system was different from 1- to cap but it wasn't the same. It felt foreign and very "un-wow-like. So I left and never looked back.
Then, last year, I heard the first whisperings of Blizzard opening Classic servers. I was immediately excited. A re-release of the game that had captured my imagination in it's original and unimproved state. It was glorious.
Now with the possibility of implementing BC as well is really almost as exciting as Classic Vanilla. I'll admit that it has to be done right. If not it will sour this volatile community and cause unending headaches for Blizz but I think it they listen to the majority and continue to use that as their rudder for navigating this new beginning for BC things will work out to their and our advantage just how it did with Classic.
