The Colonia Americana comes alive with a mix of upmarket, modern restaurants, friendly bars, and nightclubs featuring DJs and live bands. The Expiatory Temple of the Blessed Sacrament, a soaring neo-Gothic church with stained glass windows and a bell tower, sits on a small plaza. Nearby is the Museo de las Artes Universidad de Guadalajara.
In 2022, the Colonia Americana in Guadalajara was ranked as the best neighborhood in the world by Time Out International magazine. This was based on a survey in which more than 22,000 residents of the participating cities participated. In this vote, aspects such as business, gastronomy, and the general atmosphere were taken into account.

Known for its picturesque and modern atmosphere, this neighborhood is listed as one of the favorites of the people of Guadalajara due to the variety of establishments, where you can find restaurants, art galleries, fashion stores, and bars.
